A house share guide to Burley / Burley Park

Burley offers great room share options for students and professional renters, with properties tending to be smaller than their neighbours in Headingley and Hyde Park but with large bedrooms and a slightly quieter location. A house share in Burley and Burley Park  offers a great choice of accommodation surrounded by a growing number of local amenities and leisure options.

Burley has its own train station and major bus routes, meaning it couldn’t be any easier to travel across Leeds and access the city centre or University campuses. You have plenty of social options in walking distance from your house share in Burley, with a range of chain and Leeds’ own independent cafes and restaurants as well as some of Leeds’ best pubs on your doorstep. For the more energetic, you’ve also got plenty of options with the nearby canal path, and a bunch of gyms and fitness centres. And if that’s not enough, how about axe throwing?!

Burley and Burley Park’s house share accommodation options are a mix of flats, Victorian terrace properties and semi’s, and lend themselves to smaller groups of sharers seeking a slightly quieter area but without sacrificing local amenities.

The popular areas of Hyde Park and Headingley are nearby and both can be reached on foot. Also just a short walk away, there are some award winning independent restaurants, great pubs and a huge leisure complex with cinema, gym, bowling alley and a host of household name eateries.

ITV’s HQ can be found just off Burley Road, near to the recently opened Kirkstall Brewery Taproom and kitchen (where we’re told the coffee is as good as the beer). You can also head down towards the canal for a bit of exercise or a scenic walk into the city centre. Kirkstall Abbey is also just a short walk away and a perfect spot for picnics in summer; look out also for the outside theatre and events that are often hosted on site.
