Bar

Tiki Hideaway

Tiki Hideaway, Call Lane Social, 38 Call Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 6DT.

Call Lane Social is one of the most popular bars around, but they also have a hidden gem up their sleeves – or up their stairs, we should say. The Tiki Hideaway is inspired by 1950’s Hawaiian bars, all bamboo and palm leaves. Spread across two rooms, it’ll make you feel like you could be moments away from those famous sandy beaches and clear blue seas – especially after a couple of their famous cocktails, such as the Zombie, which is set alight right in front of you.

Festival

The Junk Boat Challenge

The Real Junk Boat Challenge is at Granary Wharf as part of Leeds Waterfront Festival on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June 2016.

It’s time to get creative by making your own vessel for the The Junk Boat Challenge– will yours stay afloat. Over the course of the Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th June 2016, people will be going down to Granary Wharf, to put their collective minds together to build a boat made out of stuff we’ve all thrown away. It’s an interesting idea, and will surely be a great day out!

Over the course of the weekend, with the help of Leeds City Council, Ed and his team will be providing all sorts of useful junk to make the most of at a site near Granary Wharf. They’ll also provide tools, but if you think you have something useful lying around that could help make your boat the best, you’re more than welcome to bring it along.
