After a combination of injury and complete lack of ability thwarted his dreams of becoming a professional footballer, Richard has been working in property and lettings for over ten years. During that time he has, rather reluctantly, become something of an expert on the rather dull legislative side of our industry which he says helps him sleep. Away from work he can still be found hobbling around football pitches, enjoying the odd glass of wine (although not at the same time), and pursuing his loves of travel, photography and savoury pastries.

Charlie is a local Leeds Lad and has over 20 years experience in the local residential lettings market. Recently moved to York he spends his time between the two Cities loving his commutes through Gods own County by Train, Bike or Car! He enjoys nothing more than jumping on his Bike and heading up to the Moors at the weekend and spending time with his wife, two daughters and Nell the Dog! When he has time to sit down he loves nothing more than a good meal washed down with a bottle of vino followed by a good film!

Josh has recently reached 7 years within the letting industry. There isn't much he hasn't seen in that time, but the student market always provides some interesting scenarios! Being the son of a tradesman, he knows a thing or two about property maintenance, including having a spell working on the tools at the Harewood House Estate. In his spare time, Josh enjoys plenty of social activities including playing and singing in his acoustic band, amateur photography, playing football and squeezing in the odd round of golf!

Laura deals with many of the financial aspects of the business and enjoys helping people to ensure any problems with rent are worked out and with the minimum of distress! She also enjoys liaising with both landlords and tenants to help them better understand any of the financial sides of their agreements with us. Laura is also responsible for our first Sugarbabe(!) with the newly born Dan becoming the newest member of our team and doing a good job of keeping Laura busy outside of work. Laura also likes music, going out and jacket potatoes!

Chris heads up the out of office maintenance team. After returning to the motherland from an extended holiday of over 8 years in Sydney, Australia, he’s seeing the new sights of Leeds’ student accommodation! Yes, he is still complaining about the weather but is enjoying getting wrapped up and getting out to the properties to ensure that our portfolio is kept in its best condition. From his experience of co-ordinating general maintenance of over 2,000 properties for a large developer in Sydney, he is excited to be back home and continuing his love of all things construction. After leaving Sugarhouse, Chris looks forward to a good glass of red wine whilst putting his feet up on the sofa and watching the mighty Leeds Rhinos!

Fi is our front office admin guru, dealing with a vast range of tenant queries and questions regarding tenancy agreements and other documentation. Being a true Leeds lass and having recently graduated from a local University, Fi loves the excitement of working in her Hometown. She has recently started on the property ladder herself and takes a very hands on approach when it comes to DIY having taught herself to plaster and lay floors! When she isn’t in the office she enjoys long challenging walks (often up big hills), baking magnificent cakes and browsing Rightmove!

Since buying and refurbishing his first property at a young age, Jason has been working in lettings for the last few years. Progressing through the ranks from lettings negotiator to senior lettings negotiator, Jason is now our lettings manager. He loves the hands on experience of working for Sugarhouse and when he’s not driving people round on viewings or meeting landlords, can be found instead underneath the car where he likes to have a bit of tinker. As well as changing cars as often as most people change jumpers, Jason enjoys mountain biking when the weather allows.

Oliver joined Sugarhouse after living in Spain for the last 15 years, where he finished studying, and worked as many things from a lifeguard on the sunny beaches of the Costa del Sol, to events management in a huge resort. After losing his tan and swapping tapas and Rioja wine for Yorkshire puddings and a pint of gravy, Oliver is enjoying life back in the UK and can be found exploring all around the country in his spare time!

Helen has recently come back to her home county of Yorkshire from New Zealand. With over 4 years of lettings experience she knows a thing or two about managing repairs and maintenance across a range of properties. Together with Chris they will be keeping our portfolio of houses maintained and in great condition. Away from the office Helen loves to be creative and you can usually find her with a paintbrush in one hand and quite often a glass of wine in the other – which she finds aids the creativity!

After recently graduating from the University of Leeds, Lucy has put her foot on the first step of the Lettings ladder. In her spare time, she enjoys indulging her creativity and performing with her trusty guitar, Desdemona. At heart, she is an organisational geek; her favourite things to do in the office are getting her teeth sunk in to processing and alphabetising files, and occasionally spilling her drink! Lucy enjoys the fast-paced environment of Lettings. Outside of the office, she is in the process of recording her first EP, and her next goal in life is to own a puppy.

Recently back from a 7 year holiday in NZ (with a little bit of running a full time Estate Agent business) Gavin is our newest Letting Team member.
